When you’re no longer young enough to put up with booze-infused travel destinations such as Cancun, then the perfect place to search is the internet. Research. Finding the perfect adult travel destinations can be a tricky task, but when armed with a bit of patience and a decent internet connection, your next vacation could be the best one yet.
During a internet search for vacation spots you might come across a few listings for Bed and Breakfast resorts, also known as BandB’s. A vacation at a BandB is usually a relaxing experience. One advantage to a Bed and Breakfast resort for a vacation is no matter if you go far from home or just around the corner, you will feel like you are vacationing.
Inexpensive airfare is a consideration if you are looking to travel out of the area. Searching online is a wonderful source for finding inexpensive tickets. If you aren’t an experienced flyer, you may be a bit weary of flying but, with a few drinks and peanuts you’ll have started your vacation before you even touch back down on the ground.
A possible vacation choice is the beach. If so, make sure you do not forget the sunscreen. A tan may look wonderful when you are a teenager but sometimes the repercussions of the tan can cause problems down the road. Don’t forget the sunglasses either! You want to be able to “see” what you are experiencing on your vacation - you don’t want to miss anything by squinting! A beach vacation should also include a bathing suit, flip flops, snacks, a good book, and a large water bottle.
One thing you definitely don’t want to go cheap on, is the hotel. All it takes is one roach to scurry across the floor and that dream adult vacation destination? Well, you’ll never want to go back! Plus, if you get a nice hotel, they’ll give you free things, like mints on your pillow. And, you know, clean sheets.
Sleep is important when you’re on vacation. I know, I know. You’ll remember fondly those days of college Spring Break when “sleep” was really low on the To Do list. But when you’re well-rested, you’ll have more fun, and have more energy for shopping!
Everybody loves a souvenir. Make sure you buy yourself a cute little magnet, keychain, or t-shirt. Also, don’t forget to send a postcard to everyone back home, so they’ll be green with envy over your fabulous vacation. It would be nice if you bought them a keychain, though, to make up for that boastful postcard.
No matter where you go on vacation, make sure you bring your camera. You want to make sure that you bring home your memories on the camera. After getting home, make sure you print the pictures so that you can share them with friends and also enjoy them yourself. Your vacation will feel like it lasts longer and you will relive the good memories over again. You’ll feel that Spring Break times where years ago and will be counting the days until you can go on your next “adult vacation.
